I've been looking for the calendar used on the (upper right) TC forum. Is the calendar used on the TC forum available for use on my web site? If yes, where do I find it. Thank you Jack

Steve, I have found (and I have done it) you can simply open the phpBB overall header and the page for the Coppermine header in Dreamweaver and simply type in the changes you want (wysiwyg) and not go through all that code stuff. As soon as I get a chance I am going to write it up and post it. Thanks jack

I would like to edit the header in coppermine to put a link back to my home page like I did in PHPBB. I was looking through the directories in coppermine for a file "overall header" like in phpBB but cant find anything that looks like that file. Could you tell me what file to look for in coppermine to edit so I can add the links i want? Thank you jack

Thanks David I'll try that.

I tried using the Edit, crop & rotate in Coppermine, but I keep getting this message Warning: copy(albums/edit/NewT.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/ohoxqtuz/public_html/Coppermine/picEditor.php on line 124 I tried changing the permissions in c panel for pecEditor.php to 777 and other values but it don't help. Any ideas? Thanks Jack

Well Bruce I got it to work. As i could not see the red highlights in the directions you pointed me to, it took some time to get it right. Thanks The part I thought would be easy is giving me the most trouble. Changing the logo. But I'll keeping working on it till I see where I'm messing up and let you know. Now a new question. I am trying to make a banner page using entropy Banner from the CPanel files. I made a new page called "banner.shtm" I open the page in NotePad and placed the code on the page (in bold below) I have tried placing it in Head, html and body but cant get it to work. In Front Page when I click on HTML to see it, it is allways grayed out no mater where I put it. Any suguestions? <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> <title>Banner</title> <meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 4.0"> <meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document"> <meta name="Microsoft Theme" content="none, default"> <meta name="Microsoft Border" content="none, default"> <!--#exec cmd="cgi-bin/entropybanner.cgi"--> </head> <body> </body> </html>

Hi guys, I'm back again. I use Front Page for my web site. I have the links to my message board and photo album on the home page. Is there any way I can edit the the message board or photo album in file manager to have a link to return to the Home page? This is to help visitors and members to have a easy way to return to the Home Page. Like at the L. top of this post where it says 'return to home page. As always Thanks

Well guys I DID IT!!!! Don, I must have been having a senior moment when I read your post. "The album folder and all inside it should be set to 777" You said "album folder" and I was thinking Coppermine folder. Today I opened the "Album" folder and changed the USERPICS to 777 and that's what did it. that's the only one that I had to change in that folder to get it to work. The other thing I had to change was, when loged into Coppermine in the Admin mode, I had to click on groups and change the upload from mutable uploads to single uploads. This I got of the Coppermine web site. I had to make both changes for it all to gel. Out of it all I learned how to ftp to the site, work in the File Manager, and how to take eye drops because of reading so much. I'm happy, my wife is more then happy (because I'm smiling again) and the dog is happy because I don't kick him anymore when I walk by. Thank you all so much for the help and encouragement.

All the help and suggestions are very much appreciated. jack

I would like to give it one more try today. It just bugs the **** out of me when something gets the best of me. Latter today I'm going to give it another try and see what happens. If I can't get it, I'll come back with my tail betwen my legs for your help. thanks so very much Edited by TCH-David: Please remember these are family forums - no profanity!

I just spent several hours on the Copperind web site and it seems this is a big problem with a lot of people . They talk in technical turns that I just have no idea what they are talking about. It also seems a lot people use it on BBS’s or download the program and instaull themselves. They have access to all the files that the Thec’s refer to and are able to fix them. I can’t get to those files because they say (from reading posts) your host has to do the fix. I made a few changes that they had a tutorial on in Config and User but that didn’t help. I changed the permissions to 777 as coppermind recomened also and the only place I can change them is by clicking on the one and only coppermind folder I see in my File Manager. On the CM web site they said make the change in the Public folder also, but I don’t see anything in that folder that’s related. Any time, or anytime you have Rob would be greatly appreciated I do appreciate all the help from everyone Jack

Hi Don, I tried 777 and that don't work either. I tried every setting I could and nothing helps. I can't upload in Admin., user or URL mode. I've been beeting my head for hours and hours. I check my config many times to see it somthing didn't look right. It must be some stupid little thing that I'm overlooking. Can the help desk help with this? If I give someone my username and password can they go and check it out for me? I hate being a pain in the butt but I spend many hours getting nowhere. I think I'll go work on my car for awhile. g Thanks guys jack

Rob, Steve, I changed the permissions to 744 and I still can't upload photos. I get the same message as in my first post. So I deleted Coppermine and reinstalled it and and set my permissions to 744 again with no luck. I get the same thing. Could it be my router or McAfee Firewall preventing the upload? Just shooting in the dark. I installed Invavision and that works good, thanks on that one. Steve I just noticed your a Ham, I'm AB2W. Ya might think I could grasp this stuff, but I guess I just have my senior moments with computing. Hi Jack
