  1. From Support: The issue was due to incorrect reverse DNS setting for the main mail IP in server. I have corrected this. This should get fixed within some time. Great response, as always from TCH
  2. Thanks, submitted a ticket on this
  3. Recently I am getting this error occasionally from the receiving host. I cannot send using my own domain name. Is there anything that can be done about it? 554 5.7.1 Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname, []
  4. That's unrealistic and not really necessary, besides even complex passwords can be guessed given sufficient time and computing power. There are other things you could do, like tarpitting (i.e. slowing down responses to the requesting host, consuming their resources), staggered-period lockouts, captchas after several unsuccessful attempts or other random things that only a human could handle. Everything else gets blocked or black-holed...
  5. I second that, recommending TCH to anyone who asks… good job guys. Competent, courteous, cuick & cood pricing
  6. Thanks - works fine with Firefox. Seems an issue with Safari.
  7. Hi, the cpanel UI for cron jobs seems to have changed. I cannot edit or add cron jobs, anything I do results in "AJAX Error Please refresh the page and try again." Any idea what's wrong here? Thanks Dirk
  8. The above was from the top of the OSC page. This is at the bottom: >Warning: session_write_close() [function.session-write-close]: Unknown session.serialize_handler. Failed to encode session object. in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/osctest/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 136 Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot find save handler files in Unknown on line 0
  9. Hello, I am suddenly getting errors in OSC. This could be related to the PHP5 change, even though it worked fine yesterday when I got the notification mail from TCH. I have just upgraded to latest OSC MS2 RC1 to be ready for the PHP5 transition. This is the error, taken from a clean OSC install with Fantastico: >Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Unknown session.serialize_handler. Failed to decode session object. in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/osctest/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 97 Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/xxxxx/public_html/osctest/includes/functions/sessions.php:97) in /home/xxxxxx/public_html/osctest/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 97 I could not find anything concrete on the web on this error. Once site (in French) suggests that this can be fixed by modifying php.ini settings ("session.cache_limiter"), but I am really not sure. Would appreciate any help on this. Regards Dirk
  10. Ha, thanks. I finally managed to do it myself. It works well -- once you know how. Thanks for the prompt attention. A Happy Customer
  11. Hello, I am an existing customer. I was just about to buy another account and have just registered a domain. In that process I had to create an account for the domain management (at least I think so). Now I am trying to buy the hosting for that domain and want to add to my existing account. So I am asked to enter an email address and password of 'my account' but I am lost to what email, account or password this is referring to. This is very frustrating. Would appreciate clarification what account does what and what exactly I am being asked so I can complete the process. Thanks.
  12. This is very useful, esp. hint about emailing output via cron. Cheers Dirk
  13. Bruce... doh! yes, seems obvious. /usr/sbin/sendmail is that the path to use? Are there any restrictions? I only want mail delivered locally to my own mail account, so no spamming or similar Jimuni, would you mind sharing that php with me? Would be very helpful. You can of course take out things you don't want to share, just would like to see how to query the DB and all that. Regards Dirk
  14. Hello, I would like to write a script that does a database query and emails me the results. Does anyone have something similar working on TCH that I can adapt? Especially the email part is very dependent on host setup (scripted mail is probably restrictive, for example "mail" command in shell script does not seem to work). I could probably do the DB part myself. Thanks Dirk
