  2. So, when you say you try to open a picture...are you "opening" by double-clicking files that are on your desktop? Or do you mean that you have a link to the image in your web browser, and then you "open" that link, or do you mean something else? It sounds like Irfanview might be associated with your .jpg files as the default program for viewing them...that's how my computer is set up too. But if I want to open them in another program, then I have to first open that other program and then use that program's File/Open...or something along those lines. If the problem is that photos you upload then open up with Irfanview, rather than opening in your web browser, then the issue might be with your web browser. Your web browser keeps a list of how to handle various filetypes. For example, if you use Firefox, go to Tools/Options/Content, there is a section that says, "Configure how Firefox handles certain types of files". You may find that somehow, jpg files became assigned to Irfanview. This is all speculation though. If you have a little more information about what steps cause the problem, someone might be able to better pinpoint a solution.

  7. This worked for me: 1. Go into CPanel and under "Remote MySQL", put your own IP address (if you are behind a router, then probably you want the IP address of the router...the one assigned by your ISP. 2. Start MySQL Administrator. 3. Enter your domain name for the "Service Host". I left the port at 3306. 4. For your username, enter the username of one of your MySQL users (the MySQL usernames will all begin with your CPanel username and an underscore). 5. Enter the corresponding password for that MySQL user. Once connected, it should let you see all the databases to which that user has been given privileges.

  16. And...just a note from a satisfied customer...I went through the exact same process myself a couple years ago. TCH nicely walked me through each step of the process. The reseller account is a great way to go when the number of sites hits 3 or 4.

  19. As Bruce mentioned, you have unlimited databases. And, roughly speaking, yes...each WP blog would be a different database (it's not exactly true...it is possible to use one database to handle all the blogs...but I think a one DB per WP is a good way to think of it). One of the TCH tools in the Control Panel is Fantastico, which will do all the necessary setting up of your WP blogs. Just click, enter a minimal amount of information, and you have a WP blog all set up including the necessary database. Fantastico will also set up a lot of other useful things, such as wikis, forums, content management systems, and more...with no knowledge of databases necessary.
