hi! On my site i always used password protected directories. Today I wanted to add one more user account to one of already existed password protected directories. And I got alert: ----------------- Warning: Due to Frontpage Extensions currently being installed and enabled, password protected directories will not work. If you wish to use this feature instead of Frontpage, please disable the Frontpage extensions.

You can use Frontpage directly to create password protected directories just like you normally can here. Alternatively, you can disable frontpage extensions and still use Frontpage to publish the site design via Webdav or FTP. ----------------- I never used FP and newer installed any Frontpage Extensions. I went to Frontpage manager in CPanel to uninstall them but here I got next alert: ----------------- Warning: Installing or uninstalling Frontpage Extensions will result in the loss of all ".htaccess" files in your web area. Any changes you have made to your ".htaccess" files will be lost. Any directories you have protected with WebProtect will become unprotected until you reprotect them. ----------------- I started chat with your tech support and they said that it was a bug in CPanel that installs Frontpage Extensions to my site. And they said that probably it is safe to uninstall Frontpage Extensions, and nothing of my protected dirs will be lost. But when I google this problem - I got many links that said that uninstall Frontpage Extensions will really delete all ".htaccess" from my site. Here is my situation: I need to add a new user account. I don't use Frontpage. (and don't want to use it in the future) I need to manage my password protected directories from CPanel It will be a disaster if I will lost password protected dirs. Can you give me any advise? Should i open a ticket?

I had the same problem. Yesterday I have submited a ticket and my stat was refreshed BUT when i have check it today (more then 24 hours since refresh) it seems dead again. Should i submit a new ticket?

Thanks for a help. Login with "myname+mysite.com" seems works now so problem is not exists anymore. To say honest - a strange thing was that I have tried this type of login early with no sucsess... Anyway - there is no problem now. Thank you again!

hi! I have to use neomail - all works fine till this morning :-( Since this morning I can't login to my email account I always use a shortcut like this: http://MySite.com:2095/MyName+MySite.com/neomail.pl now it is not works... it gives me "Access Denied" "If your browser does not support HTTP Authentication, please use this form:" message (I can't login from this page too) I still can access my mailbox from cPanel "Manage Accounts - Read Mail" I still can change password for the mail account but when I try to login to this account with new password - it says "Access Denied" over and over again. Also one thing - is it normal that after password was reset in the cPanel - all my neomail settings are reset too? I use few different PC with Win98 and XP with IE6 and NN4.7 with the same result. My domain hosted at Server5 Any help would be appecitated thanx
