  1. I've discovered what I need to do to fix the problem. I am opening a ticket.
  2. Thanks, Rick. I made a mistake while changing the pear.conf file. In short, I have two installations of PEAR. Problem is, the files are owned by nobody, and I cannot remove them. Any easy way to get ownership again?
  3. I knew about that, but was too lazy to do it. I guess it's better in the long run anyway. Thanks!
  4. I just submitted a ticket to install more packages on my server, and was told that the ticket is now being reviewed by the Level 2 Administration Team. First of all, what is the Level 2 Administration Team? And secondly, why does it require review, when it seems that Rick was just installing packages on the fly for other users?
  5. Ah, quite right. The problem lied elsewhere.
  6. One of my sites loads PHP libraries that exist in a directory outside public_html (safer). On my home computer, instead of hardcoding the path to these libraries, I set the include_path to point to that directory. However, on TCH servers, I (understandably) cannot set the include_path. What are my options? I could write a loadLibrary() function, so that I only have to hardcode the path once. Any other ideas? Thanks.
  7. I still have no way of knowing what PHP PEAR packages have been installed. Is there a way? And is there a way to install packages? I mean, I can do it manually but I'd rather do it the right way. And if I do get packages installed automatically, then will they be accessible to anyone on the server, or just me?
  8. By default, I think Apache uses /icon (as with /manual) but I always thought it was /icons... Anyway, thanks! Mostly mail-related, I see!
  9. Yup. That's another reserved directory. But I was wondering why the "webmail" subdomain also acted as if it was reserved on one of my sites. I'm just asking out of curiosity, not from any functional/troubleshooting perspective.
  10. I just noticed that the movie tutorials look exactly like those at my old host, with just the logo at the start and end being different! Does some other company make them and sell them? I thought it was a little strange. Anyway, TCH rocks!
  11. When I go to mail.**** or webmail.****, I get the "There is no website configured at this address" screen (like when you go to server##.totalchoicehoisting.com). I need to login to access these two addresses, but they still looks the same. So I'm guessing these subdomains are reserved (?). However, when I go to webmail.myotherdomain.com, I cannot connect, which I expected to be the case (mail.myotherdomain.com shows the "There is no website configured at this address" screen). So from that other domain, I could create a functional webmail subdomain. So my questions are: 1) Which subdomains are reserved? (mail, ftp, etc.) 2) Why does webmail seem to be reserved at one domain? 3) I also know some directories are reserved (cpanel, mailman, etc.). Can I have a list of these? Thanks
  12. I'm getting a LOT of NDRs... for emails I didn't even send! What do I do? Spam Assassin won't catch them, and I guess that's right, since NDRs are usually valid. Maybe it has something to do with my old host? (maybe people were able to use by account to spam and now they can't? Seems a little exaggerated...) Thanks in advance, James
  13. Same here!
  14. The CPanel for my site of server 53 doesn't have the nice, sleek CPanel X theme, which I've become accustomed to on my other sites. Is there any way to change it?
  15. You can try running the command in MyShell
