  1. One more thing - when I sign up, should I use his name under the first 'Customer Details' form? (since it's his credit card) Or is it ok to use my own information for the customer info?
  2. I'm setting up a new account for my father's business. After entering the domain information, clicking "I will register this domain" and clicking continue, I had a problem getting the exact credit card address information while processing. After a few attempts (he isn't sure which address is used on the card), I got a message saying 'In order to protect against fraud, you will need to start the ordering process again'. So I started over, however, now I can't continue because I get a message saying "Domain -----.biz already exists on this system" How can I now continue to sign up for my hosting account with this domain? Thanks!
  3. LOL check this out (it's getting funny now) - I got a reply from tech support. (Wow it only took an hour!) The explanation for our website suddenly going down is this: "sorry for the inconvience ... there are no contents on your site please upload your site from backup if you have anymore questions or need further technical assistance please do not hesitate to contact us." Ummm so where'd my site go?????? Hello it's been there for FIVE years and now the contents are gone, just because you had to fix my email?? Geezus Lord help me with these people! LOL! I'll be signing on with TCH soon. Real soon. (I do have a personal website here already, it's how I know TCH is soooo good!) Rock Sign
  4. oh my god - our website is now completely gone. You go to our link and there is a generic error page with instructions on how to upload your website. We've had our website online with them for around 5 years now!! Today it's gone, all because they tried to fix my email problem! These people are total morons!!! Arrggggggh!!!! How soon can I sign up with TCH? I've HAD IT!!!! Oh - and they STILL haven't fixed my email issue!!! It's been 2 days now!! Why oh why do we have to have asp pages (and an Access db). I am still a programming n00b and I don't know how I'm going to convert to php yet. Plus I will need to set up a shopping cart with osCommerce. *sigh*
  5. My web-host for work (I won't say who) just completely sucks. No it is definitely not TCH. I won't say who just because I don't want to start a battle here or anything. But I do want to rant. Customer service with these guys is a royal pain in the neck, and they don't even answer questions you ask them. Plus it's expensive as all get out. I'll be moving our domain here in the near future (we're not ready just yet cause our pages are .asp pages) but for now gawd I hate dealing with these idiots!! All I wanted to know was where I can find a list of our email accounts we're using with our domain. We've got about 6 or 7 of them, but when I log in as admin, only 2 are listed. Yet I am positive that at least 2 more are functional and active because we've got those 2 set up to be forwarded. One forwards to an earthlink account and another forwards to a hotmail account. Well, we want to leave the earthlink and hotmail accounts altogether, and set up mail only with our domain name. (Sounds reasonable, right?) But when I log in as admin and try to find where to configure these emails, none of them are listed as active or available - only 2 (admin and a test one) are listed! So with our web-host, they have this ticket-system for contacting tech-support which I absolutely loathe. You fill out a 'ticket' and fill out a bunch of drop down boxes to clarify your issue, then finally type out your problem and submit the ticket. Well these tickets RARELY get answered the same day, usually by the next work day. I filled out a ticket about my problem with email accounts not showing up in admin even though I know they are active. Also included with that ticket was another question I had ... well they solved that side question but completely avoided my main problem which is that I can't configure all these email accounts because they're not showing up in my admin area like they're supposed to. That question was entirely ignored!! And then they say "ticket closed, please contact tech support if you need further assistance". Well "contacting tech support" means basically submitting another ticket. Grrrrr. What you can also do is 'reopen' a closed ticket, and submit more information, which I did that, and even though they answered within about 6 hours, they STILL didn't solve my problem. They are telling me that I only have 2 active email accounts, when I have told them twice now that yes indeed I have more than those 2 accounts - I know this because I can send the emails to those other accounts and they are indeed being forwarded to the earthlink and hotmail accounts! You can send mail to with them! So I had to re-open that ticket yet again, just to get some information on this one single problem! It will likely be not until tomorrow that I even get anywhere with these people!! And that is way way way too long for a web-host to resolve their customer's email problems. All I want to do is stop the forwarding on a couple accounts and at that point reconfigure my email client. That's all. How utterly difficult can a web-host possibly make it to do so on their customer? *sigh* /rant off OK I feel better. Thanks for listening. I will be bringing our business over to TCH in the very near future because I see you guys actually value your customers (what a concept) and you give them the quick attention they sometimes need. As I have learned, some web-hosts don't.
  6. I am working on building my first ever mySql database. It is a simple one, listing a collection of books. I have created for the first table a number of fields for title, author, isbn, etc. What I would like to know is what is the type I should enter for the ISBN number. Should I use INT? TEXT? The format of my ISBN numbers will be like this: 1-885419-54-0 Suggestions? Thanks.

Despite its name and the light download size, HTML-Kit is a multi-purpose tool that has support for several scripting and programming languages. Anyone else use it?
