    Ioncube

I'm presently on server 37 a shared server. Ioncube aparently is not loaded re: the risk of being hacked as I've been informed (from an outside source) and via the response from an inquiry made and replied to via a work ticket as listed below. Ioncube on server 37? A TotalChoice Staff Member has replied to your Help Desk Ticket with the following: Hello Donald, I regret to inform you that we do not have the Ioncube on the server. We cannot make this change on a shared server. So does your above quote (at the start of this message) indicate that the scripting I'm using for an upgraded auction packaging I'm using will be usable again? Without getting into deep details regarding my situation I'm at a loss trying to figure things out re: Ioncube, my PHPAuctions XL3.0 package and Source Guardian that requires Ioncube for its encryption protection purposes of my XL3.0 auction package. So can someone talk to me to help me out and make some decisions with my situation? Don
  2. Kudos to all the fokls at TCH. Did the review and pleased to say that TCH is the best. Don
  3. Thumbs Up Thanks for the PROMPT reply. I will definately give OSCommerce a try. By the looks of things there seems to be quite a bit of stuff on the OS cart. I hope that I can set my cart on my own and if I do mess things up at least I know where to look for help. May I suggest a TCH toutorial be initiated in the vidio help section. I have a PHD (Push Here Dummy)in computing so something like that would be a great help. Thanks Rock Sign
  4. Help!! Awhile back I setup an Interchange Cart via Cpanel. The setup went fine and the process set a file up named cart. That's all that I did and tabled the task TO DO later. I finally got around to looking at the Cart file to get it up and running. Looking things over and trying to do things to get aquainted with the Cart stuff I failed miserably to comprehend the stuff to no avail. Figuring that I messed up somewhere along the line I deleted the Cart file figuring that I would start over from scratch from the Cpanel. Ta da!! No can do. The setup in Cpanel somehow doesn't want to set up the Cart file again. The process shows that I already have a file with the prompts of user name and a password. So what gives here?? How can I start over with Interchange or do I have to choose another Cart that TCH recommends. And what is the Issue with Interchange in the help and toutorial section? Regards Hope to get help soon. donb
  5. I have read all that there is to be found on the Horde Email. It seems that the more I read the more confused I get. I have determined that I would prefer to use Horde vs noemail. Here is my delema. In my cpanel file manager directory there is a folder named .neomail. Is this folder there by default when my account was setup? Another folder named mail. What is this folder for? At he bottom of cpanel I can click on read email. I then ge the choice of neomail or Horde. If I choose neomail I can continue on to use the neomail stuff. If I click on Horde I get the following error: ~~~Warning: main(Date/Calc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/kronolith/lib/base.php on line 63 Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'Date/Calc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/kronolith/lib/base.php on line 63~~~ At the bottom of the page there are Horde icons that I can click on and I end up on/in the Horde email screen with some kind of error messages on the upper part of the screen. So therefor/whatever/wherefor yada yada I need some hand holding here to set up Horde as my web mail. So if I can get sorted out here I think I might be able to carry on with default setups and add other email accounts. I hope that I have provided enough info and if not a phone call to help desk may be in order. Regards, DonB
  6. Thanks for the quick replies Jim. Regarding your suggestions on folders/sub domains is there any info that I can check out to see how I should setup/organize my web site before any uploads are made? If things do get messed up can things be changed/reorganized through cpanel? Regards, DonB
  7. To the Tecks at TCH I have spent almost a year researching web hosting providers that would best suite my needs. Through "Find MY Hosting.com" and their comparision charts I keep comming back to TCH as my benchmark. I therefor have concluded my search and I've decided on TCH as MY Web Host Provider. Having thoroughly gone through all of the Pre-Sale FAQ's, test drove the cpanel, viewed the PHP stuff etall, and read TCH terms, I think that most of my pre sale questions have been answered. As a newcommer I'm confident that TCH will do some handholding (baring the terms of paragraph 2.2 terms) to get me started and pointed in the right direction to successfully operate my web site. The objectives of my web pages are directed towards the Philatelic World (Stamp Collecting)and all manner that embraces it. So here are some questions that I need answers to. I intend on running PHPAuction LX software along with my web pages written with MSFrontpage 2002. Will there be any conflicts running these two software packages? Can I get help sorting out placement on the server? IE: PHPAuction LX in root directory or subdomain or does it matter or are there prior choices to be made. Can someone at TCH take a look at PHPAuction LX site and determin that I've made the right choice of TCH plan (IE: Delux Plan) allowing future growth of the auction site. What arrangements must be made with TCH to have the PHPAuction people install the auction software? Also my Domain name is parked at GoDaddy what do I need to do to change domain name servers at GoDaddy? With these questions I'm sure that there will be more to come as things progress. If these questions can be sorted out and answered in the next several days I would like to start my plan purchasing process. Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, DonB
