  1. Does anyone use any cloaking software to avoid spiders from grabbing all the email addresses off your website? I imagine if they have created software to pull them off, they've created software to FOOL them...so anyone in the TCH Family have recommendations or advice? Thanks in advance! woooot
  2. I have tried sending this email from 2 of my domains at least 6 times... Does anyone recognize what the error is...as I don't see one! I was replying to an email... This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: cindysam@aol.com SMTP error from remote mailer after end of data: host mailin-04.mx.aol.com [64.12.137.121]: 500 SYNTAX ERROR, COMMAND UNRECOGNIZED ------ This is a copy of the message, including all the headers. ------ Return-path: <Cheryl@stayhome.com> Received: from user-0ccsqui.cable.mindspring.com ([24.206.107.210] helo=Cheryl) by server21.totalchoicehosting.com with asmtp (Exim 4.24) id 1AAEwU-00073j-1A for cindysam@aol.com; Thu, 16 Oct 2003 16:41:54 -0400 From: "Cheryl Gonzalez" <Cheryl@stayhome.com> To: cindysam@aol.com Date: Thu, 16 Oct 2003 15:41:14 -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0 Subject: Cheryl Gonzalez Referred Me--->reply Reply-to: cheryl@stayhome.com Message-ID: <3F8EBC1A.18143.5586B90@localhost> Priority: normal What the heck is a syntax error and what command is it not recognizing??
  3. Felipe: I had a problem with email too...and coming to the forum (rather than helpdesk) I had several help me work it through. It was a matter of how I set it up and once I *got that* it was all working fine! I was really blown away by the support I got because my last host usually ignored the problem and there was NO forum and email usually took a week to respond to. The telephone support really sucked...they would put you on hold for 10 minutes and the line would cut out where you had to call back. This host is now out of business...and gave me NO warning. TCH was referred to me and it's easy to be skeptical about a new service when there are so many to choose from. The forum was a major reason I chose TCH...because sometimes you just need an answer right away...and it seems there are always helpful people here--> Goof I doubt anyone is looking at what you pay before they support you...that doesn't even make sense. For the affordability of this hosting, it amazes me how much support is really in place! (Now I'm not asking for prices to raise guys ) We can all get frustrated with technology...and it requires a lot of patience to work thru it...but trust me there are some Remarkable People here willing to do so! Hang in there...haven't seen any other posts...so I'm wondering if your patience wore thin
  4. I am in the process of building my site and right now that ugly parent directory comes up when someone enters my url. Can I use Web protect so when they enter the www.domainname.com that it asks for a password and doesn't bring up my directory? Naughty Or do I need to put up an index page and web protect that? Or am I all washed up and can't do any of this?
  5. Sometimes you have to go with the flow to get in the groove. I just moved from a very bad hosting experience and expected the same here. It was a rocky start probably because that's what I expected I have to say in the short time I've been around, I am blown away. woooot You guys *know* what you're doing and doing it pretty darn Good! I'm the type who usually will read every FAQ, documentation, help area...whatever...and sometimes I just can't find the answer. Sometimes I'm not even sure I know the question The last resort is suppose to be the helpdesk...and sometimes I get frustrated looking and get on over there...well today was one of those days and Rick was SO prompt with a reply ... and i felt a bit stupid reading it something I should have figured out...it was too easy...SO...I wanted to say thanks for putting up with us who seem to make your life harder than it should be We don't mean to!
