MrsD Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 Greetings! I have been looking over some of the previous posts about Oscommerce, but I can't tell you how much went way over my head. PHP, scripts, CGI, there are so many terms I don't understand. But what I really want to know is... how do I get a shopping cart set up? I installed the Oscommerce and did the "Name your store" stuff, but I am dumbfounded from there. Am I really going to have to pay $20 for an ebook so I can understand this stuff? I don't have a clue how this is supposed to incorporate into my site, or how to put my products on it or whatever. Help!!! MrsD Quote
molly443 Posted May 7, 2004 Posted May 7, 2004 I was a complete newbie when I started a few months ago. Once you dig into it, some things just start falling into place and start making sense. I am by no means an expert (my shop isn't even complete yet) but if you have computer knowledege and a whole lot of patience you can probbly do it! You may want to start here. There are a lot of answers to questions that all of us newbies have. http://wiki.oscommerce.com/docs Also search the forums. Most of the time some one else has had the same problem as you.
