Croy Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 How would I view/change my own DNS records? Or can it be done? I issued a trouble ticket on this question, and was told to goto http://www.secureserver.net/default.asp?pr...simple&se=&isc= to make changes. But they dont allow you to make DNS record changes, only nameserver changes. I called their support number and they said that they are only my Registrar. TCH hosts my DNS. So I cant manage my records through them. Thanks for any help. Steve Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 (edited) Welcome to the family, Steve. What kinds of DNS changes are you wanting to make? TCH controls the DNS name servers. All you should need to do if you are hosted with TCH is change the name servers for your domain to point to: NS1.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM NS2.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM Edited May 4, 2004 by TCH-Bruce Quote
Croy Posted May 4, 2004 Author Posted May 4, 2004 Thanks for the quick reply Bruce (and the welcome ) I have already changed my nameservers to NS1.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM NS2.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM so I am good there. My question is how do I view/change the records on the TCH nameservers (i.e A, CNAME, MX, etc)? Some other hosting providers I have dealt with in the past give you a web interface to manage your records. - Steve Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 You can modify the MX entry through the cPanel. It's in the Email section. I have never modfied an MX entry but that's where it is. Quote
