Chris Biagini 0
These are some of my favorite OS X applications...everyone's so helpful around here, thought I'd return the favor. I noticed someone posted about Butler, but I find that I like Quicksilver's interface better. You have to sign up in the forums to download the beta, but I think it's well worth it. QS does most of what apps like LaunchBar do, and then some. It has a shelf (to hold files in the middle of drag-and-drop operations), a clipboard monitor, and you can run Terminal commands without having to open a whole shell. Great for a quick killall here and there. Also on my faves list is iPulse, which is very unique system monitor. Check out Jade's review on Ars Technica. Finally, there's a great little virtual desktop app called Desktop Manager that does some killer Quartz Extreme transitions. It's still kinda buggy, though. Check out my review. I'm also a big fan of SubEthaEdit for text editing and OmniGraffle for flowcharting.
