TCH-Thomas Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 Not sure if this is appropriate forum... I have 2 harddrives on my computer, one for programs © and one for documents and archived files only (d). Today I see a folder named "SXS" on my d-drive. I am not sure if it was there yesterday, it may have, it may not. A few days ago i installed a new webcam, a Logitech quickcam zoom. Its the only thing i have installed in days. Is it possible that logitech placed this folder on this harddrive and if so, why on the d-drive when i have no (running) programs there? Or is it a virus or similar that did this? Here´s a list on what this folder contains: SXS (name of folder) msxml4.cat msxml4.Manifest msxml4r.dll msxml4.dll msxml4r.Manifest What do all these files do by the way? Quote

Madmanmcp Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 It was probably installed with the Webcam software. This link may explain it better. http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default....buting_59pj.asp Quote
