zoobie555 Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I'm already a total choice customer for my personal website. I'm contemplating getting a reseller account. I was just curious if the following statement from the "Acceptable use policy" applies to reseller accounts as well. "You may not conduct hostee or offer free web hosting to people based on your subdomains." Thanks, Jason Quote
HCSuperStores Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I'm a reseller myself and I think I understand what TCH is trying to say. TCH offers $4/month plans that allow you to have multiple sub domains. Under these plans, it is not acceptable to "resell" or give away your web space to other parties because it's just not feasible for TCH to sustain a stable server environment if people sold off their sub-domain areas. These accounts are meant for individual use, not multiple enteties. However, a reseller account lets you establish as many accounts as your web space and bandwidth allow. There's no need to put web sites under sub domains, nor would TCH really care if you did because the primary limit is your disk space and band width. So this rule doesn't really apply to reseller accounts. Just to the regular accounts. I hope this explains what you are asking! Quote
