curtis Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 Trying to setup cgiemail. I made the email template(named it emailtem.txt) and ftp it to cgi-bin, chmoded to 644. Made a form and set the link to /cgi-bin/cgiemail/emailtem.txt When I tried to use the form I got this message in the error log: error: file has no execute permission Any help curtis Quote
curtis Posted February 28, 2003 Author Posted February 28, 2003 After a little more reading of the documentation I find 2 references to cgiemail. For example, you need to CHMOD the pre-installed cPanel CGI EMail scripts to 755 to use them properly.and Go to your cgi-bin directory and change the file permissions on cgiecho and cgiemail to 755. There are no files in my cgi-bin named cgiecho or cgiemail to change permissions on. Quote
Lianna Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 Yep, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess those are in the cpanel files (server level). Would you mind to drop a helpdesk ticket on this? Li Quote
KevinW Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 Curtis, FWIW ... I had cgiemail implemented for one of my customers who was on Bell South, When I moved them over to TCH, the cgiemail did work excpet for the fact that if a visitor did not fill in a "required" field, the script would error instead of displaying a screen that would tell the visitor that a required field was not entered, and identify the field in question. Never did get a resolution to the problem. -kw Quote
