P.T. Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 I'm sorry I don't know the name of the script I need, or the language. I'm looking for a small script I can add to a web page that will allow no more than 4 people to fill in a form box and add a reply up to the html page. I wish I knew what I was looking for but I'm totally clueless. I've looked at Hot Scripts and the only thing I can find is something like a forum board and that is just w a y to large for what I'm trying to do. Oh, and I need to be able to have the persons name by their reply. (It's gettting to where this is the place I come to when I have a problem. You guys are great!!) Quote
TCH-Andy Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 (edited) Hi PT, It depends if you can use a language like PHP, there is a great script that will allow you to do that. However I note that you are still hosting at Geocities rather than here, so I'm not sure it will work on their servers. When are you coming to join the family here? P.T. Posted March 23, 2004 Author Posted March 23, 2004 TCH-Andy Thank-you for your concern, yes this server allows php, and cgi. (No this site isn't going to be hosted on Geocities LOL). Hopefully this is a small script as I have just started playing with php. Quote
TCH-Andy Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Hi, Have a look at PHP MySQL Simple Content Management. Not the smallest script in the world, but you don't need to change anything in the bulk of it, and if I understand your requirements correctly, it should do what you want - limit content editing 2 a few people, but enable them to do it online.
