miv Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 I've encountered some strange behavior with the propagation of my domain name: neville-sam.com. Everything (website, FTP, email) worked fine yesterday, but today, when I try to access my domain, I get bumped to the GoDaddy parked domain page. I double-checked the nameserver settings on GoDaddy, and it's still set to the TCH servers. I'm not too familiar with the workings of DNS, but is this normal? I ran my domain through DNS Reports and a few warnings popped up. Is there anything I or you guys at TCH can do to get the propagation fixed? Or am I just going to have to be patient while propagation has to start all over again? Thanks for any help! - miv Quote
MikeJ Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 In addition to propagation, DNS servers will cache host information. So if you get new information from one place yesterday, another place can still have old DNS information. Give it a little more time for it to fully update. I pulled up your website hosted on server 57 just fine from here. Quote
miv Posted March 22, 2004 Author Posted March 22, 2004 Thank you for the quick response! I was just anxious because I thought something had gone wrong. The domain seems to be working fine for me now. Quote
