Hi, I'm still new to this and want to setup ssl for the e-classifieds software I purchased (e-classifieds.net). My question is does anyone have experience with this software. I can do everything else, but I don't know how to setup ssl on your servers to accept credit cards.

I understand that I need a certificate (which I would gladly purchase from you guys) and a merchant account with software to process them. I just don't know how to integrate everything.

Help Please!!!

I got the free version. I am looking at the classifieds.cgi and do not see anywhere that is asks for SSL.

Let me ask this, what is your goal with the classifieds and the SSL? Give me a scenario on the steps to purchase something on your site.

It's actually going to be an employment site. The free version doesn't offer ssl capabilities. My version has the classifieds_ssl.cgi file too. I need to change the server path, which I can do. The premium version enables me to charge for posting ads and I'm thinking of charging for premium ad placements.

I can do all that in the software's control panel, but I don't know how to setup the ssl and make it coincide with the credit card processing. I have to use the vendors supported by the software to utilize real-time processing, which I don't have a problem with; I just don't know how to do it.

Here's the link to the features of the premium edition: http://www.e-classifieds.net/products/premium_features.html

Let me know what you think, it doesn't offer much information. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Well, there isn't much to "setting up" SSL. You get your cert and have TCH install it, you can test with the shared SSL to start. Then it is just a matter of changing the server path, that you can do.

What you need to do is sign up with one of the supported processors, I will assume that in the control panel somewhere you have the option to chose which one? Like a radio button or something? Then you can input your account information and it should operate behind the scenes.

As an example, my online cart allows me to select what processor I am going to use. When I signed up with that processor they gave me some account information. I take that information and enter it into the module of my cart, it has fields for me to do that. This allows transactions to be processed with no input from me.

OK, it's starting to make more sense to me. Obviously I have no experience with this. The control panel asks for certain fields to be completed, which I assume I will be able to obtain from my cc processor. Can I purchase the cert from tch? If not, are there any you recommend? I would definitely want my own ssl, since I will be dealing with b2b, which I know I can get from you guys.

Thanks for all your assistance Rock Sign
