gwilkins Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 I think it may just have been overlooked when they were building cPanel.... When you click on 'HTML / Java Chat' in cPanel you just see a link for entering Java Chat but no way to install it -> mchat.cgi isn't in the cgi-bin + I'm not sure where the .class / .jar files are. I've looked of the melange chat website but they just have raw source code and instuctions on how to compile it on a unix shell Quote
Alan Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 gwilkins, the HTML / Java Chat is "Remotely Hosted" I think, because I installed them on my site, just to see if they worked before, and they did, once I went to the Link they gave me. Quote
gwilkins Posted February 5, 2004 Author Posted February 5, 2004 Your probably thinking of entropy chat: ><form target="entropychat" action="http://tawneydelight.com:2084/"> Nick Name: <input type="text" name="nick" value=""> <input type="hidden" name="channel" value="tawneydelight.com"> <input type="submit" value="Enter Chat"> </form> I think that's the port for cpanel so that's local. This is melange chat: >http://www.****/cgi-sys/mchat.cgi?channel=**** Seems to want a file in cgi-sys named 'mchat.cgi' to pass the channel parameter too. Now that I think about it, our cgi directory is called 'cgi-bin' so that's waaay off Quote
