Multiple domains on one account

Greetings,

I am planning on moving about eight (8) accounts from another web host to you guys here at TotalChoice Hosting.

Before I do so, could you tell me whether or not you allow multiple domains on one account? For example, could I sign up for one package and split it two or three ways?

Is there anything published on your web site about that?

And, just quickly, how do I transfer existing domain names? Do you charge for transfers? Can I make the nameserver change at the existing registrants? Or is there anything required to switch domain name registrants?

Thanks for any info you might have for me,

As to transferring domain names -- once you sign up a web site with tCH, you will receive an email message identifying the two DNS nameserver addresses to use.

You would then contact the registrar service that you originally used to order the domain name, and change the DNS name server entries there.

As you may know, once you make the update to the DNS nameserver, it can take 24-72 hours for it to propogate the Internet. That means that you cannot nor should not expect that immediately your domain name will be routed to your new TCH location.

Finally, it would be good to have already republished your web site from the old web site to the new TCH web site, and leave both there. Once you have verified that the DNS nameserver update has propogated the Internet, you could then remove your files from the old server.

If you have 8 active web sites, then your best bet would be a reseller account. We only allow one LIVE web site per account.

We do allow parking of domain names, but they cannot actually be a live web site.

If you have 8 web sites, you can get a simple reseller account for less than $20. Depending on the disc space and bandwidth you need, you may need a bigger package.
