pharder Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 I use Dreamweaver and OSX.3 to maintain my web site. When I upload the new files to the remote site, they are visible to everyone but me. Whenever I visit the website, I can only see the old site. Technical support advised me to clear the cache which I thought I had done in the preferences of IE, but I still do not see the new pages. They were unfamiliar with Macs and could not help me any more. Is there somewhere else I need to do this within the system folder? Is it a problem with my service provider? Any help would be appreciated. Quote
MikeJ Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 Are you are using any kind of proxy that you know of? Typically, you should see your new site by just doing a refresh in the browser on a page. However, if you are going through any kind of proxy server, then it could be caching pages as well. I use OS X 10.2.3, and the closest I've had to your scenario is that due to Safari's (the browser I typically use) caching, it sometimes requires me to hit reload on the browser to get the new content showing. IE doesn't do as many caching tricks so it should be even less of a problem. Quote
