gary8744 Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 Does anyone know if I can enable one of my email account users to change their password. They are using Horde and we can't seem to find a place where they can do that. Thanks!! Gary Rock Sign Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 As far as i know it can only be done through cpanel. -Thomas Quote
KevinW Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 Thomas is correct! Passwords are changed in cPanel. If a passowrd is changed, amke sure the user then remembers to make the appropriate change on their PC mail client (?Outlook, Outlook Express, etc,) Here are the instructions straight from cPanel: It is useful to occasionally change the passwords on your e-mail accounts to maximize your e-mail security. You should always change your password if you think someone else has access to your account. Note: Make sure that you change the password in your offline e-mail application as well, or you will not be able to upload or download e-mail to this account. To change the password of an e-mail account: Click on the Add/Remove Accounts link in the Mail area. Click on the Change Password button next to the required e-mail address. Enter the new password in the New Password field. Click on the Change button. Your password has now been changed for that account. Quote
TCH-Andy Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 Hi, The user can log into ******/webmail where they will see links to Horde, NeoMail and SquirrelMail. There is also a link there for them to change their password. Andy Quote
