missa46 Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 i have a client who runs CartIt software.... when you log in to the cart to see saved items and then go shopping again and add another iten, it isnt staying signed in... also, if you do not log in, and shop around the site, the previous item you added is gone.. is this cookie related? when i look at the "saved carts" folder, it is creating a new saved cart for each item instead of recognizing the returning customer... please help thanks!!! www.theknittinggarden.com Quote
TCH-Dick Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 It sounds like a cookie error, i looked on carit's site and this was all I could find. Just as a reminder, we do not provide support for 3rd party scripts www.cartit.com would be your best bet for support. When attempting to add an item to the shopping cart, the item is not added and I am sure the page is designed correctly. You should design a simple cartitadd page for testing to make 100% sure it is not your page design. ><FORM ACTION="/cgi-bin/cartit.cgi" METHOD="POST"> -or cartit.exe <INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="cartitadd" VALUE="Simple^19.95^1"> <INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT" VALUE="Add Item to Shopping Cart!"> </FORM> If this continues to fail, then the reason is most likely that you have your "Spoof Control" features set too strict. In CartIt NT you can correct this from the CartIt Manager. In CartIt for UNIX you can do this from CommerceBuddy Options -> Advanced Spoof Control. Click the "Click Here for Suggested Expression" link. If your CommerceBuddy is registered, then CommerceBuddy will create an expression for you to use. Do not change the suggested expression UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Be sure you "Publish Options and Configurations" after you make these changes. Quote
missa46 Posted January 10, 2004 Author Posted January 10, 2004 i changed my cookie setting in IE, and it was working fine for a while, i could add a bunch of items and it would list all of them in the cart without signing in... which makes me think it is cookie related and not "spoof" control... although i'd like to get a custom setting for that because it always seems too strict... i rebooted the computer and now i'm getting the same problem... it's not recognizing me when i add another item... i only get the item i just added aargh thanks for the reply, and anyone else who may have had similar problems or answers please let me know... its driving me crazy ;-) Quote
