louis Jobe Posted December 25, 2003 Posted December 25, 2003 I have the program with 500 MB disc storage and 10GB monthly bandwith usage. My web site will never run more than 50 MB disc space but I would like to add 3 email addresses. How can I estamate how much bandwidth will be needed? I know this is a very simple question to those of you in the know, but I km=now nothing!! Thanks, Louis Quote
Madmanmcp Posted December 26, 2003 Posted December 26, 2003 Hi Louis, I believe you will have absolutely no problem what-so-ever with the bandwidth limit. Bandwidth is the amout of data going to or leaving your website. If you only have 50MB there it will be hard to reach that limit unless you upload and download the whole thing several hundred times a day. As for your email, I believe you have unlimited email an using only 3 will take up very little space or bandwidth. Quote
TCH-Don Posted December 26, 2003 Posted December 26, 2003 Welcome to the family Louis and your new home. The e-mail sent to you, and then downloaded by you, count as part of your bandwidth as it is traffic to and from your site. The amount of bandwidth used by e-mail is not that much. As to the disk space you have, this should not be a problem if you do not leave your e-mail on the server. If you do, it can add up fast with attachments. Most e-mail client software will have an option to leave the e-mail on the server, and should be dissabled. If you need anything, just ask your new family. Quote
