Hello, I still did not get any reply and I cannot even call anyone.

I thought that this place had good support.

I am not giving up yet as I really like the forum idea.

Anyways, I tried to sign up but it would not let me proceed until I entered a domain name.

I do not want to provide any hosting right now, just email. I am currenly hosting somewhere else and just want to register for email services.

Can you let me know what to do, thanks!

Hi. I read your previous post about only hosting email and was trying to come up with a way that it could be done within the TOS and AUP.

In order to get mail services, the domain name must be hosted with us.

Sorry.

To provide email service requires that you have a place to store your emails, and a way to set up email acocunts - both of which are accomplished by and require that a domain name is associated with your setup.

Ok thanks.

By the way just to be sure:

I am already hosting my web site with someone but I do not like their email service.

I have full control of where I want to host and email separatly.

All I would have to do is point my email distanation to your servers and the email will be directed to your servers. This I can do from my end.

All you should have to do is create an account for which my email would be excepted into, hence I would need user name and password to log in.

Ok thanks anyways if not possible, I will keep your company in my for future hosting if I need any.

Ravin,

No, TCH does not run mail servers of their own accord. TCH offers full domain hosting which includes providing the necessary components within your domain's account for servicing mail. In other words, email is served from YOUR domain's account space and bandwidth. The only way to get email services from us is to get full domain hosting from us.

That entails you siging up for an account and setting that domain's name servers to us. Which in turn would stop the accessing of your existing host's site. You are, of course fully entitled to set up your site on your account here.

Do you see? The two, site hosting and mail hosting, are not independent of one another. At TCH, they must be done together.
