Hi, please help if you can. I've been without a forum for 24 hours and I'm really starting to panic.

Here is what is happening:

I was a bit nervous about trying mods on a live forum so I decided to create another forum and practice new mods, importing, exporting...etc on it.

The new BB creation at /forumtest failed.

(Old forum is in /forum and the new one was suppose to go in /forumtest).

Now when I go to see my forum all I get is this error.

Quote:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'mrbuick_xmb2@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/mrbuick/public_html/forum/db/mysql4.php on line 48

Warning: mysql_error(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/mrbuick/public_html/forum/db/mysql4.php on line 330

Warning: mysql_errno(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/mrbuick/public_html/forum/db/mysql4.php on line 331

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

forum url = http://www.buickstreet.com/forum/

I have a db backup from a few days ago which will be ok to use.

Any help is appreciated while I search for what I did wrong.

Thanks

We managed to fix it by resetting my username and password (TCH end).

It claims to have created the new (second) forum ok and the folder gets created and is full but when I go there on the web - nothing. To answer your question, no it doesn't seem to create a new db.

I have started another thread because after we fixed it I tried creating a second forum again and it broke the first forum again. The forum is actually broken as I type this and I want to learn what I am doing wrong so I can stop doing it!

The new thread is here...
