!!blue Posted December 11, 2003 Posted December 11, 2003 Hi, anyone know how to set Horde email to receive html email in the body of the email instead of as an attachment? thanks, !!blue Quote
TCH-Rob Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 I will put my money on no. Can it be done? Yes it can but it has to be done globally. From the Horde website; IMP is capable of showing attachments inline (i.e., in the message body, rather than appearing in a new window on request), but in some cases it risks exposing the user to a security problem in the browser: by enabling inline HTML, any javascript (ActiveX, Java, etc.) in the attachment will be executed by the browser. Enabling inline HTML attachments is strongly discouraged. I will leave it up to one of the Gurus to give a solid answer. Quote
!!blue Posted December 12, 2003 Author Posted December 12, 2003 hmm... I guess that's why Yahoo & Hotmail have that feature to turn off images when opening e-mails until you say it's okay to show them. Because then the server the images are stored on would know your email is an active one. oh well, guess I can't have everything Does SquirrelMail or Neomail have inline HTML-enabled email? I'd have to have to change tho. thanks, !!blue Quote
TCH-Don Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Squirrel Mail has options such as Show HTML Version by Default: Yes No Display Attached Images with Message: Yes but as you say, this will alert spammrs that the address is good, and may not be worth it. I never look at email while working online, in outlook, I click work offline first, then look, and delete spam before working online. Quote
