chief Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 On my current host, I use sftp to upload gzipped files and then use ssh to unzip with the directory layout all set. This saves me bandwidth and time. Can I do this at TotalChoice, seeing that even JailShell is no longer provided? Quote
borfast Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 (edited) Hi chief. Yes, you can still unzip your files. If you like the console approach, I suggest you get something like phpshell or myshell and do it from there. Here's the links: phpshell: www.gimpster.com/wiki/PhpShell MyShell: www.gimpster.com/wiki/MyShell CPanel's file manager also has the possibility to decompress files, so you might want to take a look at it too. chief Posted October 20, 2003 Author Posted October 20, 2003 Thanks, borfast! I have a good and reliable host but then I stumbled upon good reviews of your site, checked it out, and for your price I am now seriously thinking about putting some of my sites here. Whatever it is, I guess I have to signup and see for myself why I keep seeing this smiley Rock Sign all over the place. Quote
borfast Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 I'm sure you will come to the same conclusion we all did: Rock Sign And if for any reason the service doesn't fit your needs, you have 30 days to test it. If you don't want to keep it, you may ask to cancel your account and TCH will refund you. But I don't think you'll want to do that Quote
