Questions On Raw Log Files

I am considering moving my sites over to one of your reseller accounts. Your web site is very thorough but I still have couple of questions.

 

1. You hardly mention raw log files. I did find them in cPanel, but it talks about monthly transfers to the directory. Are daily logs available? Your stats are nice, but I use an analyzer program which is much stronger for country id and very easily customized, therefore I need to be able to download daily stats. Is it possible to get the raw logs daily?

 

2. When I downloaded the sample stats from the demo cPanel and attempted to read them into 123 LogAnalyzer, it said "file format" unrecognized. Obviously it could read the .gz zipping, but there was some other problem. Is the sample log file in the demo exactly like one a customer would receive? I can send it to 123 LA who can determine the problem for me (and usually find a quick fix) if it is. Is the demo file a real sample of your log output?

Until one of the TCH gurus chimes in, here's a quick answer from a member:

 

Yes you can download raw log files as often as you want via cpanel, but the transfer will count against your bandwidth. It is a monthly log, and gets bigger as the month progresses. Downloads do not "clear" the log. At least in my "default" config.

 

When I tried the cpanel test drive, the log file returned is zero size. (Not very representative!) It also had a .net extension.

Thanks for your input. Maybe I'm blind, but I couldn't find your file to download From what you have said, TCH does not look promising, but I'll wait for an "official" response.
