Compression For Database Backup

When I want to dump a MySQL database from PHPMyAdmin I see a radiobutton "Compression: none" without any option to enable it. So the question is: how can I backup my databases with gzip compression enabled ?

Thanks to Mitch's Jeering Jargon this week,

I tried the cpanel

Site Management > Backup

and then Download a SQL DB Backup.

It is a gzip backup with just a mouse click.
