Hi,

On some sites on the internet i´ve seen they have indicators (like stop-lights) telling visitors if the server etc are working as it should or if some part is down. Is that possible to include on my site here?

Im not good on how a server works, but as I understand some part of the server is handling the site and another part is handling email-sending to me. So what Im looking for is a automated way for my site to tell visitors "Hey, Don´t mail me now, server is down" and such things.

Not a big thing, but it would be nice. :)

Second, The clickable similes, when I hover over them they say "smilie", can they be done to say what combination of signs to use to make them instead, if there is any?

Hmm other than manually updating, I'm not sure I've seen a solution to your first problem, I'll have a look around though. On the smilies, I'm not sure what script or program you're talking about. Here on InvisionPower Board the "alt" text is determined I believe by the actual file name, but I'm sure it could be changed somewhere in the configuration if needed.

TCH has incredible uptime.

I think the code that you're looking for really depends on the way your site is written. For example, my sites rely very heavily on server side coding. If the server was having a hiccup, then my site probably wouldn't show at all.

I am having trouble coming up with a scenario where your site would still be up and running but the server would have a feature that wasn't working.

Again, not to blow off your question, but TCH has such amazing up time that I'd stongly that such a script wouldn't become useful except maybe a fraction of 1% of the time.

IMHO you might as well just put up a gif file that says "This server is working perfectly" and just leave it there.

Lol about the gif-file. Good idea. :)

About uptime, yep, Im very satisfied with TCH so far and see no reason to change that opinion. I am as I write a real newbie on servers etc.
