Emails Re-Downloading To Mail Client After Deletion

Hello,

 

I switched to TCH this week, and I'm having an issue with email on my iMac and iPhone.

 

I download email via POP to my iMac, and it's set to delete email from the server after 1 week. This is so I can also download the email on my iMac at work and my iPhone.

 

However, after I check my email on my iPhone, any emails that I either deleted or moved from the Inbox on my iMac are re-downloaded. (And I got about 500 emails over the past few days.)

 

For example, I download email 1, 2, and 3 on my iMac, and delete email 2. Then I check email with my iPhone and get email 1, 2, and 3. Then I check email on my iMac again, and email 2 gets re-downloaded.

 

Does anyone have advice for this type of issue?

 

(Note, the emails are not duplicated when I checked via Horde, and are marked as Read in the webmail inbox.)

Hello ,

 

I have read your issue, you are using POP in iMAC, POP mail protocol download mails from the server to your local machine. So when you delete from your machine that does not delete the email on the server. You should have to change the settings in to the mail client delete mails after downloading from the server.
