Joomla 1.6.5 has been released. This release corrects an issue in the Extension Manager Update program that, in rare instances, can cause files to be deleted during a Joomla version update. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that you update to version 1.6.5 prior to updating to version 1.7.0, which will be released on July 19.

I am sorry that I did not announce this at it´s release day, but joomla.org never announced it in their "Announcements" section in their forum, and therefor it never showed up in the rss feed..
