We need an SSL certificate for our email server. I'm not sure if our web/email setup with TCH will complicate getting an SSL certificate that won't generate errors.

The original domain with TCH is old-domain.com. we then registered new-domain.com and parked it on old-domain.com

Website traffic is redirected to new-domain.com, MX and DNS records route mail for mail.old-domain.com and mail.new-domain.com to our own exchange server (same IP address for both).

We need to install an SSL certificate on our exchange server for a TLS tunnel on mail.new-domain.com. If we get the certificate for mail.new-domain.com, will there be issues/conflicts/error messages with having mail.old-domain.com routing to the same IP address?

If that would cause problems, we do have extra static IP addresses available. Is it just a matter of pointing mail.old-domain.com to one of these other IP addresses (even though its the same server)? We don't need security for the other domains or the web traffic, only the email.

Thanks :)
