TheWatcherUatu Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Didn't we used to have the option to do a phpBB install through Fantastico? I know I have a phpBB board set up on my hosting account, but I can't remember if I did it manually. Perhaps I did, since when I go to my CPanel now, the only option is for an SMF forum. I know Fantastico can handle phpBB, since I keep a hosted account with another company and it's available there, so I'm just wondering if you all would consider making that an option. Nothing wrong with SMF, really, but I'm thinking to migrate a phpBB forum to my server space, and it's just easier to have Fantastico manage it. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Welcome to the forum, TheWatcherUatu. Phpbb is not available through fantastico here since phpbb been known to have security problems. As for migrating phpbb to smf, this would not be possible through fatastico anyway as far as I know. But there are converter tools for it on the SMF site. Quote

TCH-Bruce Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Welcome to the forum, TheWatcherUatu You can still install phpBB but you would have to do it yourself. No automatic install. Quote
