Darcy Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Hi. Can anyone tell me what I would need to do to change the domain name for a site, while maintaining all the site files/content? At this point I have just registered the new domain. (Incidentally, I actually want to change the domain, not just add a new one--I don't want to use both names, as ultimately I intend to let the registration on the old one expire). TCH-Bruce Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Set the name servers of the new domain to the same ones you are using on your current domain. Once done, open a ticket with the help desk (link above or in my signature) and tell them you are switching domain names. Give them the new domain name and they'll take care of it. You can park your existing domain on top of the new domain until it expires. Quote
