Advanced Guest Book - Can Remove Image Verify?

Is if possible to remove or disable the Image Verification thing in Advanced Guest Book?

 

I was sure it was, for some reason, some hazy memory of doing it one time, but now I can't find anywhere to do it!

Not many use Advanced Guest book here.

Maybe someone will check in later that can help.

 

Most use Lazarus Guest book a major rewrite of Advanced Guest book.

You can upgrade without losing your guest book entries.

And there is a forum for help.

As Don says, lots of us use the Lazarus Guestbook instead and while the author of the Lazarus Guestbook have his own forum, many of us in this forum should be able to answer any of your eventual guestbook questions.

If we can´t, the author is also a member of these forums and peeks in quite often to answer questions about it.

I'll look into perhaps changing the guestbook I'm using. What I've got is what the host provides.

Why would you even want to disable Image Verification. All you are doing by that is inviting spam attacks. And yes I would use Lazarus over Advanced Guestbook. Much more secure. And has alot more options.

Why would I want to remove it? Because it is a very new board and I want to get a certain bunch of locals involved and they're pretty computer ignorant so I want to make it as easy as possible for them (mbccc.net/forum) because currently they're not doing anything.

 

If I get spammed I can deal with it for a while and then replace image verify.

 

I'll get the Lazarus. It's an upgrade for AGB, you say? Better and better.

Lazarus has an anti-bot test to help also

you can display a simple question like "what color is the sky"

or "type xyz"
