htvqkoa Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I just set my brother in law up with the web domain: www.diedforoursinind.org. He is set-up on a silver package, but I have a question. He would like for those that search for d4osind.org to redirect to www.diedforoursinind.org. Does he need to set-up a hosting package and web domain on d4osind.org? Or, can he just purchase the domain d4osin.org? Does that make sense? Thank you in advance! Quote
TCH-Andy Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 He can just purchase the domain name d4osin.org, set the DNS to the same nameservers, and open a ticket to ask us to park it on top of diedforoursinind.org. Quote
htvqkoa Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 Thank you! That helps a lot. How do I go about setting the DNS to the same nameserver on the domain to be parked? Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 He/You will need to contact the registrar for the domain and ask them to point it to the same nameserver as the original are pointing to. Or if the registrar have some sort of control panel, you should easily be able to set it yourself. Quote
