Culture Research Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Hi, I'm setting up mambo to try it out. I'm having a problem - after I ftp'd the mambo contents to my site, I can't get it to install. I think that I may be placing it in the wrong root directory. FileZilla shows my remote site location to be: /Mambo/installation/ Quote
TCH-Andy Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 welcome to the forums Culture Research On linux, the names are case sensitive - so mambo/installation is different to Mambo/installation - could that be causing the problem ? Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Welcome to the forum, Culture Research. Also make sure that it uploads the mambo folder to public_html. Quote

Culture Research Posted January 19, 2007 Author Posted January 19, 2007 Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I'm settling in for a big learning expereience and tackling "my first website v1.2" It was the case sensitive part of Mambo that wasn't finding the file. Now, I'm starting to Mambo... Quote
stevevan Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Word of advice from someone who's played with quite a number of these types of apps...become a sponge and read all the tutorials you can find online. If you find you really like Mambo and want to continue to use it, check out the bookstores for some more reading material. There's lots of info out there! Of course, if you get stuck, you always have your family here, too! Welcome to the forums and family! Quote
