Mae Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 I was reading through the list in cpanel to see what's available. I was floored to see that you can have your own auctions! That is so cool! So I'm thinking...I would love to have a "Teacher Auction" section on my website. BUT, I've learned to learn before I jump in. Does anyone have a website using the phpuauction? What do I need to know first? Where should I go for support? Any advice for running an auction site? Please fill me in on anything you've got. Thanks! Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 The script is not a TCH script it is part of the Fantastico scripts that can be installed. I recommend that you check out the PHPAuction site. Quote
Angel2nt Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 There is an upgraded version of PHP Auction available now (version 3.3) and I was wondering if it will be available in our Fantastico package any time soon. I got the current version (3.2) thats in Fantastico now up and running - but the problem with it is that when an auction is won the winner receives 25 winner announcements. It would have been many more but thankfully TCH stops any more then that going out within 5 minutes (although it did result in a "TotalChoice Hosting has a zero tolerance policy against SPAM" email for me - LOL). In the 3.3 version the bug has been fixed. I hope that the upgrade will be available soon. The program is totally awesome and I look forward to being able to use it. Diane Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 TCH releases Fantastico updates as they become available. The problem is Fantasico takes their good sweet time in releasing updates. It is better to learn to install updates and scripts manually. This way you will can always install the current updates as they are released. Quote
