Two questions really (sorry if I'm in the wrong forum - I'm bad about that):

1. Is there a script in cpanel to set up newsletters? If so, how does it work?

2. Is there a script to create directories? If so, how does it work?

P.S. (Okay - make that three questions)

I had a forum. I had to shut it down due to spam. Does anyone know how to turn the spam off? How do I make sure only registered and approved guests get to post? I'd like to reopen the forum, but not if I have to remove hundreds of spams everyday. I just don't have time for that. Also, my big problem is lack of directions. Is there "forums for dummies" directions anywhere? :)

1. There is PHPList in Fantastico that can be used for a mailing list. Sorry not sure what you mean by a newsletter. When I think of a newsletter I think of something created in Word and then exported to a PDF and mailed.

2. There is no script to create directories. You use either File Manager in cPanel to create directories or an FTP client.

3. You cannot "turn the spam off". You can find plugins that will help you control spam. Again, not knowing what Forum software you are running we cannot tell you how to configure it so only registered users can post. But it would be somewhere in the administration interface for the forum software. Check the forum softwares forum for help.

That's pretty much what I mean. Which list in Fantastico is the mailing list?

Are there tutorials anywhere for this?

I used the forum that you set up through cpanel. I think there is only one (at least that I know of). I don't recall what it's called. I wish it came with a users for dummies manual...lol!

For any of the scripts in Fantastico there are links to the author's websites. I recommend visiting the author's website. They usually have a forum or support group there that can help.

Members here can also help if they have installed the scripts. But you need to ask specific questions and tell us what script you are using.
