rnmcd Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Creating a database within the MySQL engine using cPanel. One of the first steps to setting up vBulletin is to create a database within the MySQL engine to hold vBulletin's data. Is there typical naming protocol to use when creating the database and user names so the vBulletin dB doesn't get confused with other databases for the website? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Just name the database something you have not already created. Once created the database name will be your-cpanelname_name-you-create. See the movie tutorial Quote
rnmcd Posted December 1, 2006 Author Posted December 1, 2006 How can I change the password for the database username? Quote
TCH-Don Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 One way is to create a new user/password and add the user to the database. Or delete the user and recreate the user with new password and add to database. Quote
