lambirth Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I have been using POP3 to access my email for ages. I am wanting to switch to IMAP cause I am getting way to much SPAM and want to start training the Spam Assassin as was describe in a earlier post. However, I was wondering, I have POP3 folders with lots of emails in them. Will the same folders work for IMAP or am I going to loss all the email's in the POP3 folder when I make the switch? Thanks in Advance for any help! Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I would create new folders not associated with the account you are switching in your email client and move them there. When you switch to IMAP it will read the folders on the server. Quote
TCH-Don Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Welcome to the forum, lambirth Spam is getting worse. I had to stop using catchall and set my default address to :fail: and create forwards for all my alias address that stopped most of the spam. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Sorry, forgot my manners. Welcome to the forum, lambirth Quote

Thanks for all the replys guy. yeah..Spam is getting terrible these days. I went years with no problems and then at the beginning of this year I must have been added to every spam generators list. I have already create alias and turn the catch all off, and the default address to :fail: but I still getting hit heavly. Quote
