abinidi Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I was reading an article on Computer World this morning that I thought I'd share with the TCH family. Basically, there is an un-fixed security hole in Internet Explorer (big surprise, I know) that affects Windows clients. The flaw isn't widely exploited (yet), but you should be aware of it. The article notes that users of Firefox aren't affected. However users of Outlook and Outlook Express who automatically allow HTML email can be. Here is the full article for your perusal: http://tinyurl.com/k5xzc (You'll need to copy and paste the URL into your browser's address bar in order to "follow" the link...) Quote
stevevan Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Thanks for pointing out this "undocumented feature"! I'm beginning to love FF and Linux more and more! Quote
JTD Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I am sure glad I use firefox instead of Internet Exploder. And Thunderbird as an email client. Quote
TCH-Don Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Me too, I even have portable Firefox on a usb stick to use at work Quote
