TCH-Don Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 I don't see how. I use Firefoxe and for a download, it will ask me if I want to open or save the file, then if save, where. I do not want to visit a page and see something downloading by its self. Quote
stevevan Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 (edited) As Don said, the download will start, but most people have their browser ask where they want the file stored. Plus, I'm a bit on the paranoid side...if I clicked on a URL and something automatically started to download, I'd leave that site rather quickly and immediately start a scan of my computer. The other thing you might want to consider is bandwidth. If your link is rather popular (or maybe hot-linked), then your bandwidth would go through the roof rather quickly.
