llama_thumper Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 hi all, have trawled the net for a simple backup php script that I can run using CRON but cannot find anything that suits my needs - i am no PHP expert but would like something fairly simple to modify - a script that can, via CRON, backup my public_html directory and save the result as a zip file. aaaaaaaaaaany volunteers? TCH-Bruce Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Apparenty you did not google for a script. Here is one PHP backup script Quote
llama_thumper Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 i did, i did, but couldnt find a simple one - will try this one and see if i can get it to work, thanks! one more question: when setting the time in cpanel for the cron job - what time zone is the server in/set to? Quote
llama_thumper Posted July 23, 2006 Author Posted July 23, 2006 right, i get these errors, eventhough the file is created fine, and i am able to unzip it once downloaded. still, it would be nice to get a 'clean' cron execution message and not this messy one. can anyone hint me toward what might be causing this?: tar: WysiwygPro: Cannot savedir: Permission deniedtar: Error exit delayed from previous errors bunzip2: Control-C or similar caught, quitting. bunzip2: Deleting output file BU_20060722.tar.bz2, if it exists. mv: cannot stat `BU_20060722.tar.bz2': No such file or directory Quote
