I tried to talk to a support person "TOM" earlier and he was absolutely no help and actually disconnected.

Anyhow, I have not been able to get to CPanel on any of my computers here at home. I was informed by "TOM" that port 2082 is closed. I need to know how to open port 2082, if this is, in fact what needs to be done.

Could someone please lend a hand? It would be greatly appreciated.

Yup...Disconcerting to get locked out of your own account, but a great protection for you too!

Are you by any chance using a proxy server?

I have some of my computers set up to use a severside internet filtering company. As a result, I can only use one port, the http port (something like 80). That makes it so that I cannot access cpanel.

You might check into that.

in internet explorer you would go to Tools- Internet Options- Connections- Lan Settings

You might also try using a different browser.
