Folder Not Deleteable

well installed drupal, haveing small issue when I noticed another issue, cant seem to change permissions or delete

~/public_html/main/files/images/temp

 

reason being my file.inc keeps throwing an error for permission denied(when I run a cron job to update the search function)

 

so I try and rename or delete or change permissions and get:

Rename of temp failed because Permission denied in ~/public_html/main/files/images/temp

 

any ideas?

yea probably should, actually its the module for drupal causing the issue, creates the folders but incorrectly, probably wron owner. if one of the staff can kindly delete them they are called deleteable and deleteable2 under ~/public_html/main/files/
