Kaula Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 I'm currently using Mozilla Thunderbird for viewing RSS feeds. There are times where I dont have access to an internet connection when I'm lugging around my laptop, and I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to download the feeds for offline viewing? It doesnt have to be with Mozilla Thunderbird, I just want to be able to download them like I would email messages. Any Ideas? (without manually saving each page by hand ) Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Well since you use Thunderbird I'll assume you also use Firefox. Give NewsMonster a try. Quote
JTD Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 I just tried NewsMonster. Does not work well with firefox at all. Quote
Kaula Posted April 1, 2006 Author Posted April 1, 2006 It gave me some problems with java/javascript (dont remember which) that I wasnt able to resolve. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 I agree, sorry for recommending it. I installed it and had to totally uninstall my browser and profile to get rid of it. Maybe a stand alone RSS reader would work for you. Google for "off line RSS reader" and I'm sure you will come up with some hits. Quote
JTD Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Actually WIZZ RSS 2.0.7 works well with firefox. This is the one I use myself. And have had no problems with it. Here is the link. http://www.wizzcomputers.com/Welcome.php Quote
wampthing Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 I found this program, and thought back to this thread. It is a program where you can import rss feeds into your pda. It looks to be brought to you by the same guy that has the GDrive extension for gmail. Quote
