Guest GuestMikeGuest Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 I'm looking to migrate webhosts and was wondering if TCH offers SSH access to the server and an anonymous FTP Account. SSH support seems to be spotty (especially on low cost plans), but I have yet to find anyone who will support an anonymous FTP account. I know there's abuse issues, and moving foward I would disable the anonymous FTP - but I still need it as that's how our current users download patches using our software (there's an issue of how to distribute that change seamlessly to our users). I also noticed that new setups often add a prefix to FTP accounts as well. I'd like to be able to port existing accounts, rather than having to reissue accountnames. Your responses are appreciated! TCH-Bruce Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Neither of those are available on a virtual account. If you need shell access or anonymous FTP you would have to have a dedicated server. Quote
