Hello again. I've been tring to install csSearchPro (www.cgiscript.net) on the lyrics site and all the (script) files keep disappearing off the server before I can even login to the admin panel.

1) It is/was/should be installed outside the cgi-bin, is this not allowed?

2) Is there a security (or other) issue with this script that causes the server to red-flag and dump it?

3) Or am I just experiencing one of those weird flashback things I've been afraid of since '67  ?

(btw - if there were a way to configure entropy I'd use it but it doesn't seem to go deep enough)

As always, thanks.

According to the ReadMe file that comes with the product: "Transfer the files and directories to the root of your web site retaining the directory structure in the zip file."

So, the answer is 'No, you should NOT install it in the cgi-bin directory!'

Unzip the product on your PC, which creates a cgi-search sub directory on your computer. Use an FTP utility to upload the entire cgi-search subdirectory to the root (public_html) of your TCH web site.

Hi KW, I did install it outside the cgi-bin in the root directory in a new folder called cgi-script, as per the instructions.

I followed the instructions to the letter, I know I did - but all the script files just kept on disappearing. Weird.

Maybe I'll find something different to use.
